Remote Backend Django Software Engineer

Description:

• SchooLinks, a venture-backed ed-tech company, is seeking an experienced Django back-end engineer to write high-quality code and contribute to the growth of the team.
• The role involves shipping clean and maintainable backend Django code, improving code quality, and collaborating with a talented team to develop scalable solutions.
• Responsibilities include participating in the product development process, designing solutions for millions of users, and working on various tools for students and school staff.
• The company is in a hyper-growth phase and has established itself in the market with over 80 tools, including college application management, course planning, and financial assessments.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of Python and Django/DRF experience.
• 3+ years of experience with AWS and SQL databases in production.
• Experience in building, supporting, and planning production systems, as well as asynchronous task management.
• Nice to have: experience with Celery, Redis, and React.js.
• Domain experience or interest in ETL, educational data, workforce development, and predictive analytics is a bonus.
• Not suitable for junior engineers; exceptional candidates with slightly less experience may be considered.
