The role of Backend Engineer involves contributing to the design, implementation, and integration of product features.
The engineer will solve technical problems with moderate scope and complexity.
The position includes supporting the improvement of internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices in a high-scale web environment.

Requirements:

Candidates must have solid experience with Node.js and Typescript.
The ability to write well-designed, testable, and efficient code is essential.
Experience with writing APIs (REST) and API documentation (Swagger) is required.
Familiarity with Node.js frameworks, particularly Nest.js, is preferred, but other frameworks are also accepted.
Candidates should have exposure to integrating with third-party services such as Stripe and DocuSign.
Experience in data modeling, SQL, and database concepts (both relational and non-relational) is necessary.
Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Jest is required.
Great communication skills and a proactive attitude towards learning and improving technical skills are essential.
Bonus points for candidates with experience in performance optimization, application monitoring, profiling, caching strategies, and improvements implementation.
Basic knowledge of deployments and dev-ops configurations with technologies like Docker and/or AWS services (S3, EC2) is a plus.
