Remote Backend Engineer

• CoinTracker is seeking a Backend Engineer to join their remote team in the United States or Canada.

• Candidates must demonstrate the ability to drive business impact and align with the mission of enabling everyone to use crypto with peace of mind.
• Strong communication skills are required to discuss details and the bigger picture effectively.
• A solid foundation in computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, system design, and distributed systems, is necessary.
• Applicants should write high-quality code, value software testing, and uphold best practices in engineering, security, and design.
• Experience in designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services is essential.
• Candidates should have experience evolving a startup’s architecture to support mid-size company growth.
• A minimum of 2 years of software development experience is required.
• Candidates should be productive, resourceful, and effective at problem-solving.
• An interest in financial products and/or cryptocurrency is preferred.
• Familiarity with a cloud platform like GCP or AWS is necessary.
• Candidates must be able to work effectively in a remote setting and overlap with core hours of 9 AM to 12 PM PT.
