Description:

Kpler is seeking a Software Engineer – Backend & Data to join their dynamic product teams.
The role involves leading the design, development, and maintenance of robust back-end services and APIs that power data-driven products.
Responsibilities include owning and operating workflows built with Apache Airflow and collaborating with data engineers to manage ETL pipelines.
The engineer will implement lightweight front-end changes as needed to support product iterations and internal tools.
Optimizing system performance and reliability across both processing and delivery layers is a key task.
Participation in code reviews, proposing architecture improvements, and maintaining high engineering standards is expected.

Requirements:

Candidates should have 4–6 years of experience in backend or full-stack roles with exposure to data-intensive systems.
Strong proficiency in Python (preferred), Scala, or similar languages is required.
Experience in building APIs using frameworks like FastAPI or GraphQL is necessary.
Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools is essential.
Competence in writing SQL and working with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, is required.
Familiarity with front-end technologies such as Vue 3 and TypeScript/JavaScript, with the ability to make minor UI changes, is expected.
Experience with Docker is required, and knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus.
Candidates should be fluent in English and comfortable working in a diverse, international team.
