Description:

Tarro is seeking a Backend Engineer to join their Engineering team in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
The role involves building reliable, performant, and well-integrated systems and products for customers.
Responsibilities include developing a robust, scalable, and highly available distributed infrastructure.
The engineer will partner with SRE teams to operate the systems built and establish processes for high-quality product delivery.
Collaboration with the product team and other stakeholders is essential to advance the product vision and expand into new verticals.
The engineer will also be involved in sourcing and recruiting top talent for Tarro.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 4+ years of experience in building large-scale distributed systems or applications.
Proficiency in writing and reading code regularly is required.
A strong understanding of general-purpose infrastructure solutions and a track record of building better solutions is necessary.
Candidates should lead by example, developing rapidly and with high quality.
Experience in modeling good behavior to less experienced engineers is important.
Honest communication and a pragmatic approach to discussions are essential.
A holistic understanding of software requirements and experience in refining and challenging them is required.
Proficiency in system programming languages like C++ or Rust for building production features and systems is necessary.

The base salary range for this role is $180,000- $250,000 USD, plus equity.
