The role of Backend Engineer (Machine Learning) involves developing and maintaining robust backend services using technologies such as Node.js, Nest.js, Java, Spring Boot, Camel, and cloud platforms like AWS and GCP.
Responsibilities include designing scalable, event-driven systems, implementing best practices in DevSecOps, test-driven development, and continuous delivery pipelines.
The engineer will collaborate on diverse projects in domains such as Payment, Cart, Fulfillment, Search, and Recommendation.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in backend development, specifically with Node.js, Nest.js, Java, Spring Boot, Camel, and cloud platforms like AWS and GCP.
A strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, distributed locking mechanisms, functional programming, design patterns, and advanced isolation levels is required.
Hands-on experience with REST and GraphQL API development is essential.
Familiarity with Kafka, SQS, Kubernetes, and containerized application deployment is necessary.
Practical experience with OLAP databases like BigQuery and Redshift, analytics tools such as Mixpanel and Amplitude, and AI platforms like SageMaker, MLflow, and Vertex AI is expected.
Knowledge of NLP, data structures like graphs, BK Trees, B+ Trees, and the Pub/Sub paradigm is important.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with a growth-oriented mindset are required.
Optional but preferred skills include experience with vector search, ML models like XGBoost and CNNs, and fine-tuning large language models using Parameter-Efficient Fine-Tuning (PEFT).
