Remote Backend Engineer, Recommendations (Remote)

Description:

• Constructor is seeking a Backend Engineer for their Recommendations team, responsible for improving customer and end-user experiences.
• The team focuses on traditional product discovery methods and innovative approaches using large language models.
• The role involves designing, delivering, and maintaining highload real-time web services in collaboration with other engineers.
• Responsibilities include building, deploying, and supporting robust recommendations services, setting up service observability, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with technical and non-technical partners.
• The position requires expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools, scripting languages like Python, server-side coding for web services, observability tools, communication protocols, databases, and cloud platforms.

Requirements:

• Strong computer science background and familiarity with networking principles.
• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining highload real-time services.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and scripting languages like Python.
• Knowledge of server-side coding, API design principles, observability tools, and communication protocols.
• Familiarity with databases, distributed systems, caching solutions, and major public cloud platforms.
• Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent English communication skills.
