As a Backend Engineer, you will architect and build resilient and scalable systems for Doxel’s AI-driven construction platform.
Your responsibilities will include tackling complex infrastructure and data engineering challenges, processing terabytes of real-time jobsite data, and enabling smarter decision-making for large construction projects.
You will collaborate with product, frontend, computer vision, and 3D teams to design seamless end-to-end solutions.

Requirements:

You should have 4+ years of professional experience as a backend or systems engineer.
Strong proficiency in modern backend languages such as Python, Go, or Node.js is required.
A test-driven development approach is essential; you should believe that testing is foundational and write tests before code.
Experience in designing and maintaining scalable APIs and microservices is necessary.
Familiarity with computer vision algorithms at scale is a plus.
You must have a proven track record of building and maintaining complex data pipelines.
Deep knowledge of distributed systems, asynchronous processing, and message queues is required.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) is necessary.
You should be comfortable with CI/CD, monitoring, testing, and automation.
Excellent debugging, profiling, and system design skills are required.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for breaking down complex problems clearly.
Bonus points for experience with computer vision models, 3D data, or unstructured media pipelines.
