Remote Backend Team Lead

Description:

• You will lead and directly manage a team of three Backend Engineers, guiding them through various stages of their careers and enhancing their technical abilities.
• You will be responsible for upholding and evolving established architectural principles, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• You will support individual growth, improve processes, and actively contribute to the scaling and development of the team.
• This role requires initiative, ownership, and the ability to coordinate all necessary aspects to ensure success.
• Responsibilities include providing mentorship and technical leadership, evolving software design principles, designing workflows for productivity, engaging in hands-on development, solving technical challenges, collaborating cross-functionally, making strategic decisions, and maintaining documentation.

Requirements:

• You must have 7+ years of experience in delivering Python-based backend projects, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• You should demonstrate the ability to effectively manage, mentor, and inspire a team of Engineers.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are required, along with a strong ability to collaborate as a team player.
• Proficiency with Django, Django REST Framework, PostgreSQL, and familiarity with GCP Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ, and Redis Streams is necessary.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) is essential.
• You must be proficient with GCP and AWS.
• Conversational Russian language skills are required.
