Description:
Blockhouse is seeking a Quantitative Market Data Analyst Intern to enhance data curation capabilities in the blockchain and cryptocurrency markets.
The intern will gather, clean, and organize large-scale datasets from blockchain networks and cryptocurrency exchanges, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and integrity.
Responsibilities include leveraging AWS services to process and manage data pipelines, implementing data extraction processes, and developing data handlers for blockchain-specific data structures.
The intern will also address complex scenarios in blockchain transactions and develop methods to measure transaction costs, slippage, and liquidity in cryptocurrency markets.
The role involves analyzing multi-asset and cross-chain trades to optimize data alignment and accuracy for analytics and trading strategies.
Requirements:
Candidates should be currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or related fields.
Proficiency in Python for data analysis and pipeline development is required.
Hands-on experience with AWS tools such as S3, Redshift, and Athena is necessary.
Familiarity with blockchain protocols and cryptocurrency exchange APIs is essential.
Experience with cryptocurrency market data formats and structures is required.
Knowledge of SQL for querying and aggregating blockchain and crypto data is necessary.
Optional skills include JavaScript for Web3 development, Solidity for smart contract analysis, and Go or Rust for high-performance blockchain ecosystems.
Understanding of crypto market dynamics and strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
Effective communication skills to convey technical insights across multidisciplinary teams are essential.
