Description:
The Senior Cybersecurity Architect serves as an advisor on best practices and is responsible for designing and implementing enterprise security strategies, architectures, and solutions.
They are accountable for the security architecture across various applications or domains and are assigned to large, complex, and high-risk projects.
The role involves developing actionable security blueprints, principles, models, designs, standards, and guidelines to ensure the enterprise IT architecture is secure and adds value to the business.
The architect interacts with vendors, IT, and business area contacts to facilitate flexible, scalable, and cost-effective security solutions.
They provide technical guidance to less experienced Security Architects.
Essential functions include adhering to enterprise architecture standards, designing and implementing security strategies, participating in security governance processes, troubleshooting issues, and serving as a subject matter expert.
The architect evaluates, selects, and implements technology solutions, investigates security threats, conducts post-event reviews, and maintains documentation.
They also facilitate project handoffs, select and design reusable tools, and promote the implementation of new technologies to improve business processes.
Requirements:
Candidates must have permanent US work authorization and cannot be from outside companies (no C2C, 3rd party/brokering).
A minimum of 5 years of related work experience as an Architect on progressively complex IT projects is required.
A related Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in an IT-related field is necessary.
Candidates must possess a CISSP certification or be able to obtain it within 180 days if converted to FTE.
Preferred qualifications include 2 or more years of cloud security experience, IAM experience, experience securing APIs, and health care industry-related experience.
Additional Information Security certifications such as CISM or CISA are preferred.
Experience using Agile methodology is also preferred.
