Description:
Colibri is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Data Analyst with strong expertise in business intelligence, data transformation, and statistical analysis.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in data analysis, proficient in SQL and Power BI (or other visualization tools), and a deep understanding of business analytics.
Responsibilities include extracting and transforming data for business intelligence tools, working across a variety of quantitative research methods, enhancing and editing key reports, and developing end-user documentation and training materials.
The role requires strong critical thinking skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to engage with senior leadership.
Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R, as well as experience in subscription models, data engineering fundamentals, and a basic understanding of statistical modeling/machine learning is a plus.
The candidate will also support project management and contribute to process improvements.
Key tasks include interpreting business stakeholder needs, conducting advanced ad hoc analyses, exploring data sets for completeness and accuracy, developing data storytelling through visualizations, presenting findings to non-technical stakeholders, prototyping data models, providing guidance for advanced analytics, and collaborating on a data governance framework.
Requirements:
A minimum of 7 years as an Analyst or related experience is required.
Expertise in advanced data analysis techniques and statistical modeling is essential.
Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and advanced analytical tools is necessary.
Strong project management skills and experience in leading projects are required.
A Bachelor’s degree in Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, Economics, or a related field is mandatory.
The candidate should possess inherent curiosity and enthusiasm.
Experience in Power BI and/or other visualization tools is required.
Advanced SQL (Structured Query Language) skills are necessary.
Strong analytic and critical thinking skills are essential.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel at an intermediate to advanced level is required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience and confidence in engaging with senior leadership, are necessary.
Proficiency in statistical and mathematical data analysis techniques such as regression analysis is a plus.
Familiarity with machine learning techniques is a plus.
Experience with Google Analytics and/or other web analytics platforms is a plus.
Experience working with a Membership/Subscription model is preferred.
