Description:
Architect, design, and implement a comprehensive data platform using Azure services like Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Databases, Azure HDInsight, and Databricks.
Establish and enforce standardized scripting, coding practices, and development frameworks to optimize resource utilization and enhance scalability and maintainability of data architecture solutions.
Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, including 21 CFR Part 11, during database implementation procedures.
Manage data migration from legacy systems to modern solutions meeting evolving clinical trial operation needs.
Develop and maintain detailed data architecture documentation, including system topology and data flow diagrams.
Monitor and optimize system performance, troubleshoot issues, and integrate new features.
Utilize Azure Fabric for building microservices and distributed systems to enhance resilience and scalability.
Integrate Azure-based data platform with other cloud services like AWS and Google BigQuery for a unified and scalable data ecosystem.
Implement DevOps practices and infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform for continuous integration and deployment.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and address requirements aligning data systems with organizational goals.
Educate and support staff on data architecture best practices, providing training and prompt issue resolution.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in Azure data technologies, DevOps practices, and big data tools to integrate them into the data strategy.
Requirements:
Extensive experience with Azure data services, SQL, Python, and ETL processes.
Ability to design and implement compliant data solutions in regulated environments, preferably in clinical trials or healthcare.
Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge of DevOps practices, Terraform for IaC, and big data tools like Apache Hadoop and Hive.
Understanding of Azure Fabric for developing microservices and distributed applications.
Strong technical writing skills for documentation and reporting.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in a data architect role focusing on the Azure stack and DevOps practices.
Relevant certifications in DevOps, database administration, or big data systems preferred.
Experience in the full software development lifecycle from design through deployment and maintenance.
