Description:

  • The Data Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's data architecture and strategy.
  • This role ensures that data is collected, stored, and processed efficiently and securely to support business intelligence, data analytics, and machine learning operations (MLOps) practices.
  • Key responsibilities include planning and implementing a robust, scalable data architecture that integrates data from various sources, designing and developing data pipelines for ETL processes, and building and maintaining data warehouses, data marts, and data lakes.
  • The Data Architect will collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to support MLOps practices and implement security measures to safeguard data privacy.
  • Establishing and enforcing data governance policies and standards is also a critical responsibility.
  • The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Staying updated with emerging technologies and trends in data architecture and engineering is essential for identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • The Data Architect will monitor and analyze data processing performance and create comprehensive documentation of data architecture and workflows.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have extensive experience in data architecture design and implementation.
  • A strong knowledge of data engineering principles and practices is required.
  • Expertise in data warehousing, data modeling, and data integration is essential.
  • Experience in MLOps and machine learning pipelines is necessary.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation languages is required.
  • Familiarity with big data platforms such as Apache Arrow, Apache Spark, Apache Iceberg, and Clickhouse, as well as cloud-based infrastructure on AWS, is needed.
  • A Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Preferred certifications include AWS Cloud Data Engineer and AWS Machine Learning Ops Engineer.
  • Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills are essential.
