Description:
The Data Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's data architecture and strategy.
This role ensures that data is collected, stored, and processed efficiently and securely to support business intelligence, data analytics, and machine learning operations (MLOps) practices.
Key responsibilities include planning and implementing a robust, scalable data architecture that integrates data from various sources, designing and developing data pipelines for ETL processes, and building and maintaining data warehouses, data marts, and data lakes.
The Data Architect will collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to support MLOps practices and implement security measures to safeguard data privacy.
Establishing and enforcing data governance policies and standards is also a critical responsibility.
The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Staying updated with emerging technologies and trends in data architecture and engineering is essential for identifying opportunities for improvement.
The Data Architect will monitor and analyze data processing performance and create comprehensive documentation of data architecture and workflows.
Requirements:
Candidates must have extensive experience in data architecture design and implementation.
A strong knowledge of data engineering principles and practices is required.
Expertise in data warehousing, data modeling, and data integration is essential.
Experience in MLOps and machine learning pipelines is necessary.
Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation languages is required.
Familiarity with big data platforms such as Apache Arrow, Apache Spark, Apache Iceberg, and Clickhouse, as well as cloud-based infrastructure on AWS, is needed.
A Bachelorโs or Masterโs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
Preferred certifications include AWS Cloud Data Engineer and AWS Machine Learning Ops Engineer.
Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills are essential.
