The company is seeking a collaborative and driven Data Engineer who excels in problem-solving, data architecture, and innovation.
The ideal candidate will design and build scalable data pipelines, work with complex datasets, and empower teams and customers through actionable insights.
The Data Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines that connect online and offline transactions.
Responsibilities include developing guest-centric metrics dashboards and integrating data from various sources to gain insights into guest behavior.
The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including analytics, product, and external customer stakeholders.
The Data Engineer will design, implement, and optimize data workflows to facilitate smarter decision-making for customers and internal teams.
The position can be performed remotely from anywhere in the U.S. or at Olo’s headquarters in NYC.
Key tasks include designing and implementing ELT processes, maintaining data orchestration workflows, building data pipelines for machine learning, and creating near-real-time streaming data pipelines.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 2+ years of experience in developing database solutions, data pipelines, or advanced analytics applications.
A minimum of 2+ years of experience with datastores such as Snowflake, Redshift, Teradata, Azure Synapse, BigQuery, Hadoop, Microsoft SQL Server, or PostgreSQL is required.
Advanced proficiency in SQL (any dialect) is necessary.
Candidates should have adequate knowledge of at least one programming language commonly used in the data industry, such as Python, Spark, or Scala.
A thorough understanding and application of data modeling principles is essential for this role.
