The role involves designing, developing, and managing data pipelines for musical and financial metadata.
The Data Engineer will help build a core data set that spans the entire music industry.
The position requires reporting to the CTO and collaborating with the executive team to ensure strategic success.
Responsibilities include developing and deploying scalable systems for a music copyright platform.
The engineer will design and build large-scale distributed systems to process massive amounts of external data.

Understanding music copyright and metadata standards globally is crucial.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 4+ years of experience as a data engineer, building core, high-volume datasets.
Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to designing schemas that bridge messy data with long-term business goals.
Experience in shipping scalable data solutions in the cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) across multiple data stores (Snowflake, Postgres, S3) is required.
Proficiency in SQL is essential, with the ability to write highly performant queries and utilize advanced features like window functions and UDFs.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is necessary.
Advanced knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, ECS, and EMR is required.
Experience supporting ML training data pipelines is a plus.
A love of music, particularly knowledge of music composition and publishing, is also a plus.
