Description:
Arcadia is dedicated to transforming diverse data into a unified fabric for health, delivering actionable insights for customers to advance care and research.
The Data Engineering team is responsible for onboarding and supporting data feed integrations between Client Claim and Clinical data management platforms and the Healthcare Solution Platform.
The role involves driving the successful development of solution architecture and completing data pipeline connectors that automate data flow between client platforms and the analytic health solution platform.
Success in this role includes learning the data connector life cycle, contributing to scrum ceremonies, and developing a range of data pipelines over time.
Responsibilities include designing and documenting connectors, building and unit testing delivery connectors, and supporting processes through peer code reviews and sprint planning.
The engineer will work independently on delivery, identify project risks, and apply critical thinking to propose solutions for complex problems.
The role requires developing technical and business domain knowledge, as well as communication skills for internal and external interactions.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 2-5 years of relevant industry experience or a graduate-level degree.
Proficiency in SQL (2-4 years preferred), Spark (1-2 years preferred), NoSQL databases (1-2 years preferred), database architecture (2-3 years preferred), and cloud architecture (1-2 years preferred) is required.
Experience with healthcare data (2-4 years preferred) and healthcare analytics (1-3 years preferred) is also necessary.
The candidate must be able to problem-solve basic coding issues and enhancements using frameworks built in Spark Scala.
A developing understanding of the business of healthcare data and its interaction with Arcadia products is essential.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to present issues using appropriate industry vocabulary, are required.
