Description:

GoodParty.org is seeking a Data Scientist with 3+ years of experience in building data stacks, modeling, and data-driven problem solving.
The role involves being the analytical backbone for the remote startup as it scales its impact.
Responsibilities include leading the organizational learning machine, designing the end-to-end data system, and owning the data visualization and business intelligence suite.
The Data Scientist will ensure that OKRs and KPIs are effective and trackable, investigate lower performing areas, and lead cross-functional analytical projects.
The position requires building strategic and financial models to inform decisions and preparing reports and presentations.
The Data Scientist will work closely with the Executive team to develop a proprietary Candidate Viability model and will report to the Chief Operating Officer.

Requirements:

Candidates must have at least 3 years of work experience in a data science or data analytics role.
A quantitative background with an MBA or Master's degree focused on Analytics or Mathematics is required.
Technical skills must include SQL, Tableau, Python, and experience with ETL processes and data pipeline management.
The ability to create complex strategic and financial models and measure the impact of data-driven decisions is essential.
Candidates should be able to visualize data effectively for cross-functional stakeholders and possess strong project management skills.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to handle new challenges is necessary.
Bonus points for experience in a data-driven startup or involvement in politics, political activism, or democracy reform.
