• Magic Eden is seeking a dedicated Data Scientist to optimize and expand marketplace operations in the NFT ecosystem.
• The role involves delivering high-quality data insights, ensuring robust data quality, and driving actionable strategies.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with NFT teams for tailored data analysis, conducting deep-dive analyses to identify trends, and ensuring data integrity through quality checks.
• The Data Scientist will respond to ad-hoc data requests, develop metrics and dashboards to monitor performance, and explore data for growth opportunities.
• Clear communication of findings to both technical and non-technical audiences is essential.

Requirements:

• Candidates should have 4-6 years of experience in data science or analytics, preferably in marketplaces, crypto, or tech startups.
• Advanced SQL skills for querying large datasets are required; familiarity with blockchain data and tools like Dune Analytics or The Graph is a plus.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or R for data analysis and automation is necessary.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and derive meaningful insights.
• An interest and understanding of NFTs, blockchain ecosystems, and marketplace dynamics are important.
• Excellent communication skills are required to present complex data and recommendations to diverse audiences.
