Remote Data Solutions Engineer

Description:

• Allergan Data Labs is seeking a Data Solutions Engineer to join their team remotely.
• The role involves designing, developing, and implementing data solutions aligned with the Data Governance Program.
• You will collaborate with key stakeholders to address technical problems and ensure data is structured to support organizational goals.
• Responsibilities include understanding data challenges, creating supporting artifacts for data solutions, contributing to data policies, and optimizing data system performance.
• You will assist partners with data migration, maintain vendor relationships, and conduct industry research to enhance the Data Governance program.
• The position requires continuous personal development and staying updated on data management tools and regulatory frameworks.

Requirements:

• A solid understanding of HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, PCI DSS, and related regulatory frameworks is required.
• At least 3 years of experience working with data-related teams such as data governance, data engineering, or DataOps is necessary.
• Experience with data governance tools and strong interpersonal communication skills are essential.
• A BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field is required, along with at least 3 years of experience in data-related roles.
• Familiarity with data storage architectures and data flow architectures is necessary.
• Proficiency in data querying skills, including SQL, and the ability to work effectively from a remote location using collaborative tools is required.
