Description:

  • Excella is seeking a Senior DevOps Automation Engineer to design and implement Continuous Delivery (CD) solutions.
  • The role involves maintaining software in a deployable state throughout its lifecycle and prioritizing this over new feature development.
  • Fast feedback on system quality and deployability is essential, with quick fixes for any issues that arise.
  • The engineer will be responsible for version control, deployment automation, continuous integration, trunk-based development, test automation, test data management, and security integration.
  • Leadership and communication skills are crucial for establishing milestones, priorities, and accountability within the team.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have experience with modern programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, Node.js, or C#.
  • Proficiency in creating and deploying automation pipelines using tools like GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, CircleCI, or TravisCI is required.
  • Experience with command line tools such as Bash or PowerShell for operating and debugging modern operating systems is necessary.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Packer is essential for configuring CI/CD pipelines.
  • Candidates should have relevant work experience with cloud providers, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Azure.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Elastic Container Service is required.
  • Leadership experience in project planning and execution of enterprise-level automation solutions in an Agile environment is necessary.
