Description:
Excella is seeking a Senior DevOps Automation Engineer to design and implement Continuous Delivery (CD) solutions.
The role involves maintaining software in a deployable state throughout its lifecycle and prioritizing this over new feature development.
Fast feedback on system quality and deployability is essential, with quick fixes for any issues that arise.
The engineer will be responsible for version control, deployment automation, continuous integration, trunk-based development, test automation, test data management, and security integration.
Leadership and communication skills are crucial for establishing milestones, priorities, and accountability within the team.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience with modern programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, Node.js, or C#.
Proficiency in creating and deploying automation pipelines using tools like GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, CircleCI, or TravisCI is required.
Experience with command line tools such as Bash or PowerShell for operating and debugging modern operating systems is necessary.
Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Packer is essential for configuring CI/CD pipelines.
Candidates should have relevant work experience with cloud providers, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Azure.
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Elastic Container Service is required.
Leadership experience in project planning and execution of enterprise-level automation solutions in an Agile environment is necessary.
