Remote DevOps Engineer

Description:

• Parity is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their remote-first, global team dedicated to building open-source technologies for the Polkadot and Substrate ecosystem.
• The role involves automating, scaling, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports Parity’s blockchain ecosystem.
• Responsibilities include designing and maintaining infrastructure using Terraform and Kubernetes on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), automating CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and ArgoCD, optimizing containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes, and improving system reliability through monitoring and troubleshooting.
• The position requires collaboration with developers to ensure smooth deployment of applications written in Rust and Python, as well as staying updated with the latest DevOps and Web3 best practices.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have demonstrable experience in improving delivery flows and the ability to articulate meaningful data-driven outcomes.
• A solid background as a DevOps or SRE Engineer is required.
• Expertise in Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker for managing cloud-native infrastructure is essential.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud providers is necessary.
• A strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as GitHub Actions and ArgoCD is required.
• Proficiency in scripting and backend development with Python or Rust is needed.
• Candidates should have experience with monitoring, logging, and security best practices.
• The ability to troubleshoot complex systems and optimize infrastructure performance is crucial.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote team are required.
