A company is seeking a DevOps Engineer in Mexico.
The role involves optimizing the application flow throughout the build-release-deploy lifecycle.
The goal is to streamline processes for application teams to enable faster and more efficient production releases.
Responsibilities include working closely with engineering teams to implement and support Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines.
The engineer will drive code quality standards and troubleshoot deployment issues.
Contributions will help achieve a more agile, secure, and innovative development environment.
Key accountabilities include designing and maintaining build, release, and deployment toolchains, implementing CI pipelines, defining and improving CD processes, and establishing monitoring solutions for application performance.
The engineer will also participate in process improvement initiatives and support onboarding and training for new team members.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3-5 years of experience in DevOps roles with a focus on DevOps practices and principles.
Experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions or similar is required.
Familiarity with binary repository tools (e.g., Nexus Sonatype, JFrog Artifactory) and publishing binaries with Java, Maven, Gradle, NPM, and Python is necessary.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and managing cloud infrastructure is essential.
Proficiency in containerization technologies, particularly Docker, and basic knowledge of Kubernetes is required.
Strong scripting skills in at least one language (Python, Bash, GoLang) to automate processes are needed.
An understanding of software development practices, especially Test-Driven Development (TDD), is important.
Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible) is required.
Candidates should be strong team players with excellent communication skills to collaborate across functions.
Experience working in production environments and familiarity with PaaS, SaaS, or IaaS models is necessary.
The ability to identify process bottlenecks and suggest improvements for continuous growth is essential.
