Description:

  • WorkWave is seeking a DevOps Engineer with Cloud Infrastructure and/or Software Development experience to join their DevOps team in Holmdel, NJ.
  • The role involves working closely with the team and Software Engineers to define and implement standards for designing applications for the cloud.
  • Responsibilities include building automated CI/CD pipelines, creating cloud infrastructure and configuration as code, and developing solutions for monitoring and alerting around uptime and performance.
  • The engineer will leverage AWS tools and services to manage and automate operations capabilities, ensuring high availability, reliability, disaster recovery, security, and monitoring of application environments.
  • The position also requires coaching and training Engineers and QA on automation tools and processes, as well as developing and improving automated test frameworks for Web, Mobile, and API.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent, with 3 or more years of experience in Software Development, DevOps, or Infrastructure engineering supporting Web and/or Mobile applications is required.
  • Experience working as a team member on Scrum or Kanban teams is helpful.
  • Preferred experience with C#/.NET languages, principles, and design patterns.
  • Familiarity with Web UI automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, SpecFlow, NUnit, or equivalent test frameworks is necessary.
  • Experience with performance testing tools and approaches for Web applications is required.
  • Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language is essential.
  • Candidates should be proficient with scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, bash, Ruby, TypeScript, or other automation languages.
  • Experience with AWS managed service solutions including VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFormation, SQS, SNS, and Lambda is required.
  • Knowledge of building CI and CD pipelines using tools such as TeamCity, Jenkins, or Octopus is necessary.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms and services to create and maintain testing and production environments is essential.
  • The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a professional business demeanor, and will be collaborative, quick to learn, and accountable for results.
