Description:

  • Babylon Labs is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to lead the lifecycle of Babylon PoS networks and performant dApps.
  • The role involves owning security within the DevOps team and acting as a liaison between the DevOps and Security teams.
  • Responsibilities include implementing zero trust and least-privilege access policies, maintaining security tooling and automation, securing production credentials, and ensuring security for web application infrastructure.
  • The engineer will drive the design and implementation of audit logging, alerting pipelines, and security monitoring systems.
  • Collaboration with development and operations teams is essential to integrate security into all stages of the software development lifecycle.
  • The position also includes contributing to DevOps tasks such as onboarding services to production infrastructure, ensuring high uptime, operating scalable Kubernetes clusters, and advocating for production-ready practices.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Familiarity with the web3 threat landscape and the ability to develop threat models and recommend security solutions is necessary.
  • Experience in designing infrastructure and service security pipelines using cloud security tools and identifying security vulnerabilities is essential.
  • Candidates must have experience in securing critical credential and cryptographic key management.
  • Proficiency in operating containerized web application systems on Kubernetes is required, with web-3 native systems being a plus.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in operating secure Cosmos SDK and Bitcoin infrastructure is needed, with additional blockchain ecosystems being a plus.
  • Experience with top-3 cloud management platforms, preferably AWS, is required.
  • Proficiency in Linux management and scripting is necessary.
  • Experience with open-source observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki is required.
  • Familiarity with Cloudflare and GitHub security is essential.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and respond swiftly to incidents is necessary.
  • Fluent oral and written communication in English is required.
