Description:

  • The Director of Software Sales- Upper Mid-Market will develop and manage a team of Software Account Executives (AEs) selling to companies with revenues of $100M or more.
  • This role involves converting leads from the Sales Development Team and building strategic relationships with Financial Institutions, NetSuite, Microsoft, and Sage Intacct, along with their Value Added Resellers (VARs).
  • The Director will own the annual revenue number for the Upper Mid-Market Team and influence sales development and partner sales strategies to grow Fintech and VAR partnerships.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including partner, software sales, marketing, product development, and finance, is essential to drive growth and success.
  • Responsibilities include coaching the sales team, deploying sales strategies, acting as the primary contact for software inquiries, negotiating software agreements, and maintaining a deep understanding of customer pain points.
  • The Director will work with marketing and partner teams to leverage relationships for bookings targets and develop joint marketing initiatives.
  • Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitoring sales team performance is crucial, along with providing regular updates to senior management on sales activities and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a fast-paced SaaS or Fintech company is required.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience leading a SaaS Sales Team is necessary.
  • Candidates must have 2+ years of experience leading an Upper Mid-Market or Enterprise Team.
  • Experience negotiating with Finance Leaders such as Controllers, VPs of Finance, CFOs, CTOs, CIOs, and/or CAOs for at least 2 years is essential.
  • Proven experience in implementing and coaching a sales methodology, with a deep understanding of the sales process from discovery to closing.
  • A track record of building relationships and targeting key decision-makers to drive opportunities and exceed quotas is required.
  • Experience leading virtual teams across functions and geographies is necessary.
  • Candidates should have the ability to create operational rigor and identify core KPIs.
  • Experience in the Payments industry is a plus.
  • A passion for sales, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects are essential traits.

Benefits:

  • The salary for this position ranges from $145,000 to $165,000 CAD, with an OTE ranging from $235,000 to $270,000 CAD.
