Description:
The Director of Software Sales- Upper Mid-Market will develop and manage a team of Software Account Executives (AEs) selling to companies with revenues of $100M or more.
This role involves converting leads from the Sales Development Team and building strategic relationships with Financial Institutions, NetSuite, Microsoft, and Sage Intacct, along with their Value Added Resellers (VARs).
The Director will own the annual revenue number for the Upper Mid-Market Team and influence sales strategies for growth in Fintech and VAR partnerships.
Responsibilities include coaching the sales team, deploying sales strategies, acting as the primary contact for software prospects, negotiating software agreements, and collaborating with marketing and partner teams.
The role requires establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure partnership success and monitoring sales team performance.
Regular reporting to senior management on sales activities, conversion rates, and pipeline progress is expected.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Sales Development, Sales Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Implementation Teams, is essential.
The Director will also work with the product development team to ensure product-market fit and effective integrations for clients.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a fast-paced SaaS or Fintech company is required.
At least 3-5 years of experience leading a SaaS Sales Team is necessary.
Candidates must have 2+ years of experience leading an Upper Mid-Market or Enterprise Team.
Direct negotiation experience with Finance Leaders such as Controllers, VPs of Finance, CFOs, CTOs, CIOs, and/or CAOs for at least 2 years is required.
Proven experience in implementing and coaching a sales methodology throughout the sales process is essential.
A track record of building relationships and targeting key decision-makers to drive opportunities and exceed quotas is necessary.
Experience leading virtual teams across different functions and geographies is required.
Candidates should have the ability to create operational rigor and identify core KPIs.
Experience in the Payments industry is a plus.
A passion for sales, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects are essential traits.
Candidates should be comfortable with Salesforce reporting and managing structured and raw data.
Benefits:
The salary for this position ranges from $135,000 to $155,000 per year, with an OTE ranging from $225,000 to $260,000 USD.
