Description:
Guidewire is seeking a Product Solution Engineer to join their Early Access and Adoption (EAA) team, which is responsible for ensuring new product capabilities can be adopted quickly and predictably for General Availability (GA).
The EAA team consists of experienced product and delivery experts dedicated to driving predictable adoption of product capabilities as they become generally available.
This role is integrated into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) from feature planning and design through development, focusing on adoption impacts.
The Product Solution Engineer will work alongside implementation teams and stakeholders on initial customer early access projects, providing expert guidance and championing the usage of new capabilities.
Responsibilities include creating and harvesting valuable learnings, publishing official documentation as product adoption resources, and supporting scaled adoption for GA.
This is a remote position based out of Dublin, Ireland, and does not require being in the office.
The role involves assessing product adoption impacts, verifying target use cases, and providing early feedback as domain experts.
The engineer will also define a path to GA and drive the creation of learnings and generalized content.
Requirements:
The candidate must have the ability to quickly learn new product features and technologies with minimal support and guidance, demonstrating self-sufficiency and independence.
A passion for sharing and scaling knowledge to make others' jobs easier is essential.
Certification in multiple Guidewire products, preferably ClaimCenter, is required.
The candidate should possess strong analytical problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and the capability to research solutions while collaborating with domain specialists.
Consulting and leadership skills, along with deep industry knowledge of the property and casualty (P&C) insurance industry, particularly in policy and/or underwriting, are necessary.
Proficiency in specific product capabilities to the extent of demonstrating them to internal and external audiences is required.
The ability to accurately estimate project tasks and create product adoption collateral as part of EAA engagement is essential.
The candidate should be able to define workarounds for product gaps aligned with the product roadmap and reference internal systems for historical capability implementation details.
Hands-on development of code may be needed to evaluate new capabilities and conduct proofs of concept (POCs).
The ability to design and estimate solutions for medium complexity product gaps and enhancements by consulting with stakeholders is required.
The candidate should support EA capability inceptions with research for product and design questions and learn new EA capabilities with limited documentation.
Coaching junior team members on complex Guidewire functionality and reinforcing standards and best practices is expected.
The ability to develop a network of stakeholders and communicate complex scenarios in an easy-to-understand manner is necessary.
Knowledge of AI and large language models (LLMs) is preferred.
