Remote Emerging Talent Software Engineer, Backend - Institutional Product Group

Description:

• The Institutional Product Group engineers create and maintain a suite of products catering to institutional customers of all sizes, including Hedge Funds and experienced individual traders.
• Additional products include Prime - Custody Only, Prime Web3 Wallet, Commerce, and Exchange.
• The team enables institutional clients to earn additional yield by staking the crypto they custody with Coinbase.
• Engineers will write high quality, well tested code to meet customer needs.
• They will execute scoped technical tasks end-to-end to help Coinbase fulfill its mission to increase economic freedom in the world.
• Team members will independently take ownership over the completion and quality of their tasks and projects.
• There is an emphasis on showing bias for action and making data-driven decisions to experiment with new solutions quickly.
• Collaboration with other engineers, product managers, and designers at Coinbase is essential.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have graduated university with internship and industry experience.
• They should write high quality, well tested code.
• Experience in building resilient and scalable micro-services is required.
• Candidates must be excited about tackling complex problems and getting things done.
• Experience executing technical tasks and projects end-to-end is necessary.
• A passion for building an open financial system that brings the world together is essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
• Nice to haves include at least 1 year of experience with Golang, Protobuff, GRPC, GraphQL, MongoDB, Docker, and Ruby on Rails.
• Experience working on engineering teams in the finance space is preferred.
• A passion for blockchain technology and being a power user of crypto exchange applications or dapps is a plus.

Benefits:

• The target annual salary for this position ranges from £63,000 to £70,000 GBP.
