Description:

GrowthX is seeking a Backend Engineer (Runtime & APIs) to build the backbone of internal workflows and platforms.
The role focuses on developing frameworks and APIs for efficient AI-powered workflows and scalable systems.
The ideal candidate should enjoy solving complex challenges and delivering high-impact solutions.
This is a fully remote position, requiring at least 4 hours of overlap with US Pacific Time during reasonable work hours.
Responsibilities include designing and building scalable backends, developing runtime and frameworks, optimizing performance, integrating services and APIs, managing DevOps and infrastructure, collaborating cross-functionally, and writing AI workflows.

Requirements:

Proven backend expertise with strong experience in building and scaling backend systems using PostgreSQL, TypeScript, Ruby on Rails, or Python.
Familiarity with building internal platforms, frameworks, or runtimes to support efficient software development.
Expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining APIs that connect diverse systems and services.
Proficiency in deploying, monitoring, and maintaining production systems with a focus on reliability and scalability.
A deep understanding of performance optimization techniques for databases and backend services.
A pragmatic approach to solving complex problems with impactful, actionable solutions.
Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and stakeholders.
Familiarity with building for LLMs, RAG, and related technologies is a strong plus.
