Remote Front-End Engineer

Description:

• Portcast is seeking a proactive and skilled Front-End Engineer with a strong focus on UI/UX to join their team.
• The Front-End Engineer will work closely with the Product & Engineering team to create intuitive, responsive, and aesthetically pleasing user interfaces for the web app.
• Responsibilities include front-end development, code quality maintenance, UI/UX design collaboration, user experience enhancement, component development, and collaboration with back-end engineers.
• The ideal candidate will stay updated with the latest trends in front-end development and UI/UX design and advocate for cutting-edge practices within the team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Design, or a related field.
• 3-5+ years of work experience in front-end development with a strong emphasis on UI/UX design.
• Experience in a B2B SaaS (UI + API) environment, preferably within the logistics tech industry.
• Experience in a startup environment, particularly as an early engineering hire contributing to building a technical product from scratch to scale.
• Proficiency in ReactJS/VueJS/NextJS, preferably with NuxtJS, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, AWS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), responsive design principles, cross-browser compatibility, CSS pre-processors, front-end build tools, package managers, back-end technologies, and API integration.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and empathetic communication.
• Ability to work independently, thrive in a fast-paced team environment, and drive results without constant oversight.
