Description:
The Front End Engineer will work in the Customer Experience team at Peek.com, focusing on providing a positive and stress-free experience for customers of tour and activity operators using the Peek Pro platform.
The engineering group works on customer-facing products and systems for making and managing bookings online, including features like embeddable booking widgets, online waivers, and customizable portals.
The role involves collaborating with designers, frontend and backend engineers to solve complex problems, optimize for conversion, and enhance the customer experience.
The ideal candidate is customer-centric, self-motivated, quality-focused, and data-driven, with a strong passion for creating delightful experiences for customers.
Responsibilities include being well-organized, demonstrating strong interpersonal communication skills, taking ownership of projects, delivering production-quality code, advocating for a consistent customer experience, and mentoring fellow software engineers.
Required skills include 3+ years of professional development experience with frontend technologies, at least 2 years in Ember.js, solid coding practices, and familiarity with A/B testing and product analytics tools.
Requirements:
Be well-organized, self-motivated, and able to contribute quick and quality turnarounds for feature development and bug fixes.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills and collaborate effectively with the team.
Take ownership of projects, deliver production-quality code with comprehensive automated test coverage, and advocate for a consistent customer experience.
Act as a mentor to fellow software engineers through code reviews, design document critiques, and brainstorms.
