Description:
Fetch is seeking a Frontend Engineer to build and maintain world-class web applications for customers and external partners.
The role involves working directly with backend services and collaborating with a multi-functional team that may include engineers, designers, product managers, and data scientists.
The ideal candidate will tackle challenging problems while designing and developing user-centric solutions.
This is a full-time position that can be performed remotely from anywhere in the United States or from one of Fetch's US offices.
Requirements:
Candidates must demonstrate flexibility in implementing features from both specific designs and bare-bones ideas that require iteration.
The ability to balance product design and technology to create optimal solutions is essential.
Familiarity with functional and/or object-oriented programming is required.
Candidates should be able to optimize poorly performing code and explain both short and long-term solutions with trade-offs.
Effective communication skills are necessary, including the ability to translate technical issues for non-technical team members.
Proficiency in at least two frontend frameworks, specifically React and Svelte, is required.
Experience with frontend styling and layout using CSS, HTML, Sass, or Less is necessary.
A deep understanding of JavaScript and experience with TypeScript is essential.
Candidates should have experience with design system implementation, responsive UI design, application state management, and version control systems (Git).
Test writing and quality assurance experience is also required.
