Description:
The Frontend Staff Engineer position at Experian Consumer Services (ECS) involves providing technical leadership to a team of engineers, managing and motivating the front-end engineering team, leading architectural and technical improvement projects, ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs, maintaining the quality and stability of the front-end codebase, collaborating with team members and stakeholders, developing and maintaining user-facing features, optimizing applications for speed and scalability, and actively participating in the developer community.
The ideal candidate should be well-rounded, self-motivated, experienced with multiple UI technologies and frameworks such as Angular, React, and Vue, and have a strong background in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
Responsibilities also include sharing experience, continuing to learn, and having a track record of cross-browser development on large-scale public-facing applications.
The position requires proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodology, experience with UI testing and automation frameworks, and a solid understanding of responsive design, web standards, and UI/UX best practices.
Requirements:
The candidate must have 10+ years of expert UI programming skills with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, including extensive experience with React and/or Angular, and Node.js.
5+ years of experience in a Tech Leadership role in building scalable Web Applications on modern cloud-based tech stacks is required.
Deep technical expertise on JavaScript frameworks and single-page application design and development, strong computer science fundamentals, and proficiency with the DOM and asynchronous event-programming models are essential.
Experience with blue/green deployments, multiple JavaScript/CSS frameworks and libraries, UI testing and automation frameworks, and completion of projects with minimal supervision and direction are necessary.
Bonus skills include active collaboration in open-source communities, experience with CSS pre-processors, node development workflows, data visualization APIs and JSON, and previous mobile development experience.
A degree in computer science or a related field is required.
