Remote Full Stack Engineer

Description:

• lastminute.com is seeking a Frontend Developer/Full Stack Developer with strong knowledge of React and some experience in Backend technologies, particularly Java/Kotlin and Spring.
• The role involves researching, designing, writing, and testing new software programs using Agile methodologies.
• Responsibilities include maintaining systems by monitoring, identifying, and correcting software defects, investigating new technologies, and constantly updating technical knowledge and skills.
• The position requires problem-solving and lateral thinking, both as part of a team and individually, to meet project needs.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 4-6+ years of experience as a Full Stack developer, programming in React, Styled components, Typescript, Jest, HTML, and CSS.
• A solid and proven coding background in any domain with Java/Kotlin and Typescript/Javascript is essential.
• Good knowledge of the Spring environment is required.
• Familiarity with Git and continuous integration is necessary.
• Candidates should be willing to work in an Agile environment and possess very good English language skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must, along with a sense of curiosity to explore new and better ways to solve problems.
• Desirable qualifications include diverse technology knowledge, experience in Node.js/Next.js backend development, knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, SpringBoot, MySQL, and Maven.
• Competence in testing techniques like TDD and BDD, interest in open-source software, and a "Hobby Project" or open-source contribution are also preferred.
• A Master's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering is desirable.
