Turing is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead AI tooling projects and play a key leadership role within the engineering team.
The role involves delivering medium-sized projects end-to-end, including system architecture, front-end, and back-end development.
The engineer will act as a Tech Lead, mentoring junior engineers and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities include building features from scratch, creating robust and scalable systems, and developing innovative data generation algorithms.
The engineer will understand training and evaluation data needs for frontier models and help create a technical roadmap.
The position requires frequent collaboration with product users to collect feedback and iterate on products.

Candidates should have a proven track record of delivering high-quality web applications in fast-paced settings.
Strong skills in cross-functional collaboration are essential.
Proficiency in linking machine learning model behavior to data distribution and quality is required.
Experience in fine-tuning large language models is preferred.
Candidates must be able to quickly prototype and iterate on MVPs, favoring fast development cycles.
Required technical skills include proficiency in Typescript and Python, experience with React and Node.js frameworks, and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
Experience with building and applying large language models, including prompt engineering and reinforcement learning from human feedback, is necessary.
