Description:
The Fullstack Engineer position at GitLab focuses on providing teams and customers with tools to collect product usage insights in a privacy-focused manner.
The role involves building data collection and analytics tools within the GitLab product to identify areas for investment, product category maturity, user experience improvements, and business impact.
Responsibilities include helping build internal and external instrumentation libraries, assisting other teams with feature instrumentation, and contributing to the development of new Product Analytics features.
Projects may include creating new product analytics SDKs and implementing unified internal events tracking.
The position requires writing high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code, continuous learning, advocating for product quality, mentoring team members, collaborating on architectural plans, and participating in agile development practices.
Requirements:
Professional experience with VueJS or another modern JavaScript web framework (React, Angular, etc.) is a must-have.
Professional experience with Ruby on Rails is a must-have.
Solid understanding of semantic HTML, CSS, and core JavaScript concepts.
Experience with writing automated tests and using Git in a professional/workplace environment.
Experience with creating libraries or APIs is a plus.
Familiarity with Typescript, Go, or Python, GCP or AWS, data warehouses like Snowflake, and Agile methodologies.
Ability to self-manage and organize in an asynchronous work environment, communicate complex technical problems clearly, work effectively in a team, and commit to continuous learning.
