Grupo QuintoAndar is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join their team in Portugal.
The company is a leading real estate tech company in Latin America, simplifying the real estate ecosystem for buyers, sellers, brokers, and partners.
The position involves working remotely from anywhere in Portugal, with the option for in-person collaboration in Lisbon.
The selection process includes application screening, remote interviews, and a final offer.
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will work on product squads, collaborating with various professionals and contributing to innovative projects globally.
The role requires engaging in the entire product development cycle, from ideation to deployment, and making data-driven decisions.
The technology stack includes Java, Kotlin, Python, Clojure, Typescript, Flutter, React, AWS, Kubernetes, and various databases.
Responsibilities include developing scalable services, troubleshooting production issues, improving development tools, leading projects, mentoring, and participating in the hiring process.

Requirements:

Fluency in at least one programming language, relational databases, and web or app development.
Proven track record in designing, building, and maintaining large, scalable systems.
Deep understanding of software maintainability and team productivity best practices.
Experience with RESTful APIs, distributed systems, CI/CD, and test automation.
Excellent operational and troubleshooting skills.
7+ years of software development experience.
Ability to learn quickly and deliver high-quality, data-driven software.
Professional fluency in English (Portuguese is a plus).
Knowledge of computer theory, optimization of algorithms, and distributed systems is a plus.
