Description:

  • We are seeking a Senior Ruby Engineer to join our Team.
  • This position is crucial for building and expanding our healthcare data platform and member management solution.
  • You will ensure that our APIs are robust, scalable, and secure, enhancing the experience for our users and partners.
  • The role involves close collaboration with the Product team and mentoring junior engineers.
  • You will contribute to the continuous improvement of our engineering standards and processes.
  • The position is remote and targets talents from LATAM.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining APIs that are intuitive, efficient, and scalable.
  • A high degree of proficiency in Ruby, with the ability to write clean and robust Ruby code.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, with experience in both front-end and back-end development, and a deep understanding of asynchronous programming and JavaScript frameworks.
  • Strong experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices, including writing tests before code.
  • Familiarity with React is a plus, enabling contributions to user interface aspects of applications.
  • Experience with AWS services like EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS is beneficial for deploying and managing applications.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes for managing clusters and deploying microservices is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation is a bonus.
  • Experience in mentoring junior engineers is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in an Agile environment is beneficial.
  • Compliance with safety and security policies, regulations, or directives related to software and proprietary information is required.
  • Proficiency in using VDI solutions (AWS Workspaces or Microsoft Windows 365) for secure resource management is necessary.
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices, including the OWASP Top 10, is essential.
  • A strong understanding of handling sensitive information, HIPAA, and Security Essentials is desirable.
