Description:
As an Intermediate Infrastructure Security Engineer at GitLab, you will be part of the Infrastructure Security Team in the Product Security Department.
Your main responsibility will be to ensure the resiliency and security of the components in GitLab's public cloud infrastructure, particularly focusing on the upcoming GitLab Dedicated for Government product.
You will collaborate with various teams to secure GitLab's FedRAMP environment and develop remediations for infrastructure vulnerabilities.
Automation efforts will be a key aspect of your role, including building tooling to enhance vulnerability detection and visibility into environments.
Additionally, you will review new project architectures to ensure they meet the rigorous security standards set by GitLab.
Requirements:
Proof of U.S. citizenship and residency is required for this position.
Hands-on experience with public cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is necessary.
Proficiency in Ruby, Python, or Go for development is essential.
Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Chef is required.
Knowledge of the Linux operating system is a must.
Experience with containers (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes) is expected.
An interest in Information Security and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams are important.
Effective communication skills over text-based mediums and the ability to document technical details concisely are necessary.
