Description:

  • As an Intermediate Infrastructure Security Engineer at GitLab, you will be part of the Infrastructure Security Team in the Product Security Department.
  • Your main responsibility will be to ensure the resiliency and security of the components in GitLab's public cloud infrastructure, particularly focusing on the upcoming GitLab Dedicated for Government product.
  • You will collaborate with various teams to secure GitLab's FedRAMP environment and develop remediations for infrastructure vulnerabilities.
  • Automation efforts will be a key aspect of your role, including building tooling to enhance vulnerability detection and visibility into environments.
  • Additionally, you will review new project architectures to ensure they meet the rigorous security standards set by GitLab.

Requirements:

  • Proof of U.S. citizenship and residency is required for this position.
  • Hands-on experience with public cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Ruby, Python, or Go for development is essential.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Chef is required.
  • Knowledge of the Linux operating system is a must.
  • Experience with containers (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes) is expected.
  • An interest in Information Security and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams are important.
  • Effective communication skills over text-based mediums and the ability to document technical details concisely are necessary.
  • Alignment with GitLab's values is crucial for this role.
