Description:
- The Java Developer position at ARETUM involves designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications and systems for Federal clients in various sectors such as Next Generation Analytics, Engineering Services, Training Services, IT Systems, Cyber Security, PMO Support, and Financial Consulting.
- Responsibilities include contributing to the development of cloud-native, microservice-based solutions, collaborating with team members for SCRUM development of electronic handling tools, participating in continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline integration, engaging in iterative development processes, building back-end application code, updating RESTful APIs, implementing unit testing, and assisting the DevOps team in setting up Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- 3+ years of Java programming experience
- Proficiency in Java with a minimum of 1 year of experience in microservice-based development
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in front-end development, server-based components, and API components
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with the Springboot Framework
- At least 1 year of experience with Unit Testing
- Experience with code repository technologies such as Svn or Git
- Ability to work with technical staff, resolve customer complaints, respond to software modifications, and participate in software documentation
- Strong problem-solving skills, detail-oriented mindset, excellent communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to pass a basic government background check
