Remote Java Spring Engineer

Description:

• VisibleThread is seeking a Java Spring Engineer to join their team and work on their Language Analysis Platform used by major corporations like Boeing and Lockheed Martin.
• The engineer will be responsible for implementing new features, optimizing existing ones, and enhancing monitoring systems for on-premise and cloud systems.
• Collaboration with other engineers, attending daily stand-up meetings, and participating in peer code reviews are essential aspects of the role.
• The engineer will also research and evaluate APIs and frameworks to improve the tech stack, build APIs for customer integration, and ensure products meet compliance and security standards.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience building web applications with Java Spring and related technologies in an Agile environment.
• Strong background in clean code, test-driven development, and code quality.
• Proficiency in object-oriented design, algorithm design, and problem-solving.
• Experience in profiling web applications for performance improvements and relational database schema design, preferably with Postgres.
• Knowledge of secure programming, OWASP top 10, Linux, Jenkins CI pipelines, Spring MVC, JPA, Spring Security, and Tomcat.
