Description:

Fable is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to create enterprise-quality features that enhance digital accessibility for individuals with disabilities.
The role involves participating in all aspects of the software development life cycle and encourages sharing thoughts and ideas.
Applicants must be located in Canada and able to work close to the EST time zone.

Requirements:

Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience in developing web applications, including internships or co-op positions.
A solid understanding of fundamental software development principles and practices, including writing unit tests, is required.
Candidates must be eager to learn and excited to join a startup focused on making a positive social impact.
Experience with the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) and full-stack development is considered an asset.
Knowledge of integration testing, continuous integration, design patterns, and experience with PHP, particularly for Drupal, is also beneficial.
Candidates must be active learners and problem solvers, comfortable in a collaborative remote startup environment.
An interest in learning about accessibility and following inclusive design practices is essential.
Candidates should be invested in learning new tools and technologies and be comfortable with change.
Ability to work within North American time zones, preferably Eastern Time, is required.
