Description:

As a Lead Data Scientist, you will be responsible for extracting insights from large datasets, developing predictive models, and driving data-driven decision-making across the organization.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities, solve complex problems, and optimize processes.
The role involves analyzing, building, testing, and implementing statistical and machine learning models that extract meaningful insights from large datasets.
You will apply mathematical and statistical techniques for spatial and temporal data.
The position requires developing and implementing advanced predictive models.
You will build data visualizations, dashboards, and reports for internal and external customers.
Writing and optimizing efficient, maintainable code while collaborating with cross-functional teams is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

A B.S, M.S. or PhD. Degree in Engineering, Data Science, Math, Statistics, or a related field is required.
You must have 7+ years of experience in data science.
A minimum of 2 years of experience with programming languages such as Python and frameworks like PySpark is necessary.
Experience working with large and complex datasets is required.
You should have experience working with databases, such as Postgres, MySQL, or SQL Server.
A track record of writing optimized, scalable code is essential.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets are required.
Excellent communication and presentation skills are necessary to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on validation and accuracy of results are important.
You should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The ability to mentor team members and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement is desired.
Experience in developing and optimizing data pipelines and ensuring data quality is also required.
A background in robotics or a related field and understanding of temporal and spatial data concepts is desirable.
