Remote Lead Full Stack Engineer (React/Java)

Description:

• As a Lead Engineer, you will join a dynamic team to integrate with a major global banking client’s investment arm.
• You will champion best practices to build and enhance cutting-edge applications.
• Responsibilities include developing across the application stack, utilizing React for web applications, creating backend services and RESTful APIs using Java, and managing application components in a cloud environment (Azure).
• You will implement CI/CD tools/processes and drive TDD best practices while engaging in collaborative problem-solving with other engineers, designers, and product owners.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 4 years of proven experience in building scalable full-stack applications with Java and JavaScript (React) is required.
• Experience in leading and mentoring teams of engineers is essential.
• A solid understanding of asynchronous JavaScript, data querying from various sources (GraphQL, REST APIs, databases), and web services is necessary.
• Candidates should have a keen eye for layout, semantic markup, and application performance.
• Proficiency in cloud services (Azure) and knowledge of CI/CD tools and best practices is required.
• Experience with data warehouse, visualization, and cloud platforms such as Snowflake, Data Factory, Tableau, and Power BI is preferred.
• Strong ownership, a pragmatic approach, and a commitment to testing and learning in agile, collaborative environments are essential.
• Adaptability and openness to learning new technologies and methodologies are important.
• Prior enterprise-level or commercial software development experience is required.
• Financial services experience is strongly preferred.
