Description:

  • Lead a multicultural, remote engineering team primarily based in Eastern Europe, providing leadership and direction for efficient collaboration.
  • Act as the main point of contact for engineering questions and blockers, relieving the CEO of these responsibilities.
  • Conduct code reviews and maintain high code quality through reviewing pull requests.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to scope new projects, assess technical integrations, and determine relevant tech stacks and languages.
  • Develop scalable, performant applications for clients across various industries.
  • Foster seamless communication and collaboration within the team, promoting an open communication culture.
  • Contribute to technical architecture and hands-on coding, ensuring a deep understanding of technologies and methodologies.
  • Interface with the CEO and stakeholders, presenting clear updates on engineering progress and its impact on company success.
  • Effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in JavaScript (Node, React, Next.js).
  • Expertise in building cross-platform mobile applications using React Native.
  • Strong knowledge of Python.
  • Experience with AI technologies like LLMs, embeddings, and fine-tuning.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of cloud services like AWS, Azure, or DigitalOcean.
  • Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with caching services like Memcache or Redis.
  • Familiarity with web frameworks such as Laravel, Django, or NestJS.
  • Experience in building and working with APIs (GraphQL and RESTful services).
  • Strong scripting skills.
  • Experience with TDD workflows and unit testing.
  • Proficiency in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • BS in computer science, information technology, business/management information systems, or related fields OR 6+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Strong leadership capabilities to ensure alignment across technology, product, and business stakeholders.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in agile development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Capability to work independently and collaborate well with team members.
  • Creative and critical thinking skills.
