Description:
As a Lead IT Systems Engineer at Glassdoor, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving Glassdoor’s core IT infrastructure systems.
You will work in a small team with exposure to various best-in-class technologies, aiding in the design and operation of production and service infrastructure.
Your role will involve executing systems engineering activities to solve complex problems and enhance employee experience.
Responsibilities include managing Glassdoor’s network architecture, collaboration platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom), and cloud-based application infrastructure.
You will collaborate with the Security Engineering team to implement cloud security solutions and tools for operational efficiency.
Additionally, you will design monitoring strategies, support day-to-day operations, and ensure the availability of corporate infrastructure systems.
The position also involves evaluating, implementing, and managing emerging technologies aligned with Glassdoor’s technology strategy.
Requirements:
Experience in managing Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and other SaaS platforms.
Proficiency in network technologies and protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, BGP, IPsec, RADIUS, with experience in Palo Alto Networks and Meraki being advantageous.
Familiarity with Amazon Web Services technologies like AWS Systems Manager, GuardDuty, Workspaces, VPCs, Security groups, and Transit Gateways.
Expertise in Linux and Windows server OS’s, along with client platform management tools like Jamf and Intune.
Skills in automation using scripting languages like Python or PowerShell, and configuration management with platforms like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
Knowledge of Active Directory and experience in managing Atlassian servers such as Jira or Confluence is a plus.

Base salary range of $106,000 - $140,800, with bonuses paid in 6-month intervals and annual bonus target of 10%.
