Description:
As a Lead IT Systems Engineer at Glassdoor, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving many of Glassdoor’s core IT infrastructure systems.
You will be a member of a small team with wide reach and exposure to a variety of best-in-class technologies.
Teams across Glassdoor will rely on your technical acumen to aid in the design and operation of production and service infrastructure.
You will execute systems engineering activities on complex systems that solve complex problems, improve efficiency, or create an amazing experience for employees.
You will manage operational initiatives for Glassdoor’s network architecture and infrastructure.
You will manage and optimize Glassdoor’s collaboration and communication platforms, including Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and other SaaS platforms.
You will build and manage cloud-based application and corporate IT service infrastructure.
You will partner with Security Engineering to implement cloud security solutions (CASB).
You will build, implement, and administer tools and automation to improve efficiency and reduce operational bottlenecks.
You will work closely with the Information Security team to secure the environment and protect the brand.
You will design a comprehensive monitoring strategy for corporate infrastructure.
You will support day-to-day operations for production services and participate in on-call rotations for security incident and outage response.
You will act as a point of escalation for the support team and play a role in their technical development.
You will assure the availability and uptime of corporate infrastructure systems.
You will evaluate, define, implement, and manage emerging technologies that align with Glassdoor’s technology strategy.
Requirements:
You must have experience in managing Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and other SaaS platforms.
You should have experience with network technology and protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, BGP, IPsec, RADIUS), with experience in Palo Alto Networks and Meraki being a huge plus.
You need to have experience with various Amazon Web Service technologies such as AWS Systems Manager, GuardDuty, Workspaces, and AWS networking concepts like VPCs, Security groups, and Transit Gateways.
You must be an expert in Linux or Windows server operating systems, with working knowledge of both.
You should have extensive experience with client platform management tools Jamf and Intune.
You need to have automation experience using scripting languages like Python or PowerShell.
You should have configuration management experience using platforms like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
Familiarity with Active Directory is required.
Experience managing Atlassian servers such as Jira or Confluence is a plus.
Benefits:
The base salary range for this position is $106,000 - $140,800.
An annual bonus target of 10% is offered, with bonuses paid in 6-month intervals, aligning with bi-annual performance reviews.
Generous Restricted Stock Units (RSU) are awarded at hire and may be refreshed annually, with additional RSU grants presented bi-annually to exceptional performers.
