Description:
The Lead Java Developer position at Storyteq within the Inspired Thinking Group involves working in the Digital Engineering team to build enterprise-grade digital applications for high-profile brands.
The role requires hands-on software delivery within a Unix-Based development environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities include providing technical leadership, estimating development effort, conducting code reviews, defining and executing the development strategy, and mentoring team members.
The Lead Java Developer will work on projects using Java Development and other technologies, ensuring projects are delivered on time and upholding quality standards.
The role also involves identifying and researching emerging market trends, implementing and improving working practices, and working closely with account directors, creative, and clients.
Requirements:
Experience working in an agile environment.
Minimum of five years' development experience.
Expert knowledge of at least one Java MVC Web development framework, preferably Spring MVC/Boot.
Proven ability to deliver projects of various sizes.
Knowledge of Test Driven Development and software development practices, processes, and theories, especially Agile Development Principles.
Experience in Linux server administration.
Desirable Skills:
Knowledge of development frameworks other than the expert one.
Team leadership and mentoring experience.
Proficiency in responsive design and development.
Good client experience and experience in the automotive industry.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
